TEAM Volunteer Service Contribution

All local teams in the greater Edmonton area submit a Volunteer Service Contribution deposit as part of their registration or equipment rental request. Throughout the year, the Festival Association calls for volunteers for a variety of tasks.  Any, and all of the people-hours your team contributes to work projects will count towards your Volunteer Service Contribution.

Current list of needs:

• Help Ali, our Resource Manager to close up the trailer & secure the equipment at the end of each practice night .... 1-2 volunteers 

• Dock marshalls needed on Tues. & Thurs. evenings to direct teams on & off the docks in a timely manner.  Our busiest nights! ...2 volunteers

• Various number of volunteers to act as officials for Sprint Races July 18th

• 3-4 experienced enthusiastic paddlers to be ambassadors of the sport on Canada Day at the Louise McKinney Booth

• 3-4 paddlers to organize the teams for demonstration races on Canada Day

• Various volunteers or a team to be on standby to take out or secure boats in the event of river rising to flood level

• Steering mentors needed to groom novices
