All local teams in the greater Edmonton area submit a Volunteer Service Contribution deposit as part of their registration or equipment rental request. Throughout the year, The Festival Association calls for volunteers for a variety of tasks. Any, and all of the people-hours your team contributes to work projects will count towards your Volunteer Service Contribution.
We have added another level of volunteer contribution this year: the Committee!
Each committee has a terms of reference outlining its role, the number of participants and their length of service. A Board Director will act as chair and liaison.

3 people required from mid-May through 2010 Festival (August 20-22)
To run the steering clinic May 29, 2010; maintain records and evaluate novice steerpersons
at the Sprints and The Festival

8-10 people required to help organize and run Worker Bees, be on standby to take out or secure boats in the event of river rising to flood level, etc.
